AML / KYC Policy

This Policy describes the measures Nexus Proxy takes to prevent fraud, money laundering, financing of illegal activity, and abuse of the service.

1. General provisions

Nexus Proxy follows the principles of reasonable verification of users and transactions.

Verification may be carried out selectively and based on risk level.

Registration for the service does not always require full identification, however Nexus Proxy reserves the right to request additional information if suspicious activity is detected.

2. When verification may be required

Additional verification may be requested if:

  • the amount or frequency of transactions significantly differs from the norm;
  • a single user creates a large number of accounts;
  • indicators of automated fraud are present;
  • a TXID has already been used for another order;
  • a payment originated from a high-risk source;
  • the user attempts to conceal the connection between orders;
  • an official request is received from an authorized body;
  • there are signs of a violation of the Terms of Service;
  • the transaction is linked to a sanctioned or prohibited address;
  • the user requests a refund to an address other than the sender's address.

3. What data may be requested

Depending on the situation, Nexus Proxy may request:

  • confirmation of account ownership;
  • confirmation of ownership of a cryptocurrency wallet;
  • additional information about a payment;
  • the source of funds;
  • the purpose of using the service;
  • an identity document;
  • proof of address;
  • company information for corporate clients.

Only the amount of information necessary for a specific check is requested.

4. Transaction verification

Nexus Proxy may analyze:

  • the TXID;
  • the sender's address;
  • the recipient's address;
  • the network used;
  • the amount;
  • links between the transaction and known high-risk addresses;
  • reuse of the same transaction;
  • suspicious order patterns.

5. Suspending a transaction

While a review is underway, Nexus Proxy reserves the right to:

  • suspend proxy delivery;
  • temporarily restrict an account;
  • request additional information;
  • delay a refund;
  • decline a transaction;
  • terminate a user's service.

6. Prohibited activities

The service may not be used for:

  • money laundering;
  • financing terrorism;
  • evading sanctions;
  • concealing the origin of illegal funds;
  • fraud;
  • purchasing prohibited goods;
  • using stolen payment details;
  • operating malicious infrastructure;
  • any other illegal activity.

7. Refusal of service

Nexus Proxy may refuse service if:

  • the user fails to provide the required information;
  • the information provided is false;
  • the risk of the transaction is deemed unacceptable;
  • there is reasonable suspicion of illegal activity;
  • providing the service could violate applicable law or partner requirements.

8. Retention of verification data

Verification materials may be retained for as long as necessary to:

  • prevent fraud;
  • resolve disputes;
  • protect the service;
  • comply with applicable legal requirements.

Access to such data must be limited to authorized personnel.

9. Confidentiality

AML/KYC data must not be published or disclosed to third parties, except where necessary:

  • to carry out verification;
  • to protect the service;
  • in response to a lawful request;
  • to work with compliance tool providers.

10. Policy changes

Nexus Proxy may amend this Policy to reflect risk levels, partner requirements, and applicable law.
